Officials from the NJDOT will be at New Brunswick City Hall from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 to answer public questions regarding a construction project that will widen Route 18 north between Westons Mill Pond and the Route 1 south ramp.
This state project will also replace and renovate the Route 18 northbound and southbound bridges over Route 1, and improve lighting, signage and drainage in the affected area.
Residents in attendance at Tuesday’s Public Information Center will be able to look at design plans and ask questions of DOT representatives.
The project will entail nighttime lane and ramp closures on Route 18, and new traffic patterns are expected to begin as of Friday, Aug. 15.
The public is invited to come and ask questions regarding the project, which is scheduled to begin this summer and last through summer 2015. Work is expected to be done predominantly during off-peak hours.
