New Brunswick Police Department
This year, the New Brunswick Police Department commemorates 175 years of service to the citizens, businesses and visitors of the City of New Brunswick. In 1835, Officers Peter Spader and John Nafe began walking their beats. Since then, hundreds of men and women have patrolled these same streets with dedication and honor. Along with the City it is sworn to protect, the New Brunswick Police Department has grown to be one of the finest police agencies in the State of New Jersey.
On Saturday, November 20, 2010, the New Brunswick Police Department will celebrate our 175 years with a reception at the Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This extraordinary event is scheduled to include our Honor Guard and police memorabilia such as our restored 1939 International Paddy Wagon. We welcome you to come out and spend an evening with the officers of past and present for this monumental event in our history.
