New Brunswick Parking Authority Serves The Fresh Grocer with Notice of Default

New Brunswick, NJ, February 26, 2014 – The New Brunswick Parking Authority (NBPA) announced today that it has served a Notice of Default to The Fresh Grocer for non payment of rent and other expenses due the NBPA.

The Fresh Grocer currently owes the NBPA, the owner of Wellness Plaza, a total of $784,754.01 in base monthly rent, tenant improvements, liquor concession license fees, parking, utilities, late charges and interest.

Because of the importance of a full service supermarket to the community, the NBPA has attempted to restructure a satisfactory financial arrangement with Fresh Grocer. Those efforts to date have been unsuccessful.
