Middlesex County residents are invited to dispose of their bank statements, receipts and other sensitive documents at a free paper shredding event at New Brunswick High School.
On Friday, July 11, a mobile paper shredding truck will be parked at the high school, located at 1000 Somerset St.
The event will run between the hours of 9 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is filled to capacity, whichever occurs first.
Each resident may bring up to five file boxes or 100 pounds of paper to be shredded for recycling in a safe and confidential manner.
Books, magazines, newspapers, x-rays, floppy disks and CDs are not permitted. Residents are also asked to refrain from bringing their papers in plastic bags.
Business and commercial paper will not be accepted.
This event is sponsored by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the City of New Brunswick.
