E-Waste drop-off is held from 8 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of each month at the New Brunswick DPW. Residents may dispose of TVs, laptop and desktop computers. No other electronics will be accepted. Paint and paint-related items will also be accepted by the DPW on these drop-off dates. The African American Heritage Committee will host a Black History Month presentation on Saturday, February 11 titled "The Impact of Slavery on the Family, the Domino Effect of Poverty, Incarceration and Education." The event will feature an exhibit and a discussion with Dr. Kristen O'Brasill-Kulfan. The exhibit is curated by students with the Public History Department at Rutgers University. Admission is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.

Twin brothers and NFL stars, Jason & Devin McCourty will host a blood drive at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard. This blood drive is an annual event in support of the McCourty Twins Tackle Sickle Cell Campaign, which was launched in partnership with Embrace Kids Foundation in 2013.
