Halloween Costume Parade

New Brunswick kids between the ages of 3-10 are invited to participate in a Halloween costume parade and decorate mini pumpkins on Thursday, Oct. 30. Haunted Tales and Trails includes a haunted ghost story at Buccleuch Mansion followed by a haunted hike through Buccleuch Park.  This event is for students 11 years of age and older.  Refreshments will be served. “Architecture in New Brunswick: Past and Present”

Morris Kafka will speak on the architectural history of New Brunswick at  the New Brunswick Free Public Library. He will give a general overview of architectural history in New Brunswick focusing on prominent structures and discuss their style, era, and significance. His verbal ‘tour’ will include the Henry Guest House, Buccleuch Mansion, Old Queens, a house of worship, the library, and some remaining industrial and commercial buildings. Bring a picture of a building you are curious about and Morris will try to identify and discuss it.…

The New Brunswick Free Public Library will host its annual Dia De Los Muertos celebration on Saturday, Nov. 1. The event will entail altar building, paper crafts, sugar skulls, Mexican dance and music.
