The New Brunswick birthplace of famous American poet-soldier Joyce Kilmer will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, December 6 during the City’s annual observance of his birthday. Alfred Joyce Kilmer, author of the well-known poem “Trees,” was born in New Brunswick on December 6, 1886, 130 years ago. He was killed by a German sniper in France in 1918 during WWI, while serving with the U.S. Army as part of the 69th Infantry Regiment.…

E-Waste drop-off is held from 8 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of each month at the New Brunswick DPW. Residents may dispose of TVs, laptop and desktop computers. No other electronics will be accepted. Paint and paint-related items will also be accepted by the DPW on these drop-off dates.
