Woodrow Wilson Students to Visit Hungary on Sister Cities Trip

A group of students from Woodrow Wilson Elementary School will soon be traveling to Hungary for a student exchange trip through our Sister Cities program.

Six students, two teachers and New Brunswick Public Schools Superintendent Aubrey Johnson will travel to Debrecen, Hungary from May 17-27th, accompanied by representatives from the New Brunswick Sister Cities Association.

Sister Cities is an international organization that joins communities around the world for the purpose of sharing ideas and culture and cultivating friendships so that we can best learn and grow from each other.

New Brunswick has four Sister Cities: Debrecen; Limerick, Ireland; and Fukui and Tsuruoka in Japan.

Student exchanges are an important part of the Sister Cities program. Earlier this spring, New Brunswick hosted student visitors from Fukui and Tsuruoka.

New Brunswick Middle School students will also be visiting Fukui and Tsuruoka this coming fall.
