The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. in the New Brunswick Free Public Library’s Community Room with storytelling by re-enactor Domingo Camarillo as Benito Juárez, President of Mexico. Festivities at the library will also include piñata, face painting, arts and crafts.
At 1 p.m., a parade featuring low rider cars will take start at the library and proceed to Joyce Kilmer Park, where there will be variety of food vendors, music and dance performances.
Admission to the event is free and open to all.

The New Brunswick Community Food Alliance, the New Brunswick Environmental Commission and the New Brunswick Community Garden Coalition will host a tour of the City’s network of community gardens, followed by a meal.
Each stop on the tour will feature an appetizer dish, and will end at Unity Square, where a potluck dinner will be served.
