The City of New Brunswick has partnered with National Fitness Campaign, inventors of the Fitness Court®, to make world-class fitness free for City residents.
The Fitness Court is an outdoor bodyweight circuit training gym, featuring all-level workouts that can be completed in just seven minutes a day. Two of these state-of-the-art Fitness Courts will soon be available for public use in Alice Jennings Archibald Park and Buccleuch Park, suitable for adults of all fitness abilities and completely free of cost.
“We are very excited to welcome these new Fitness Courts that will help our residents stay healthy and well and enhance the offerings of our City parks system,” said Jennifer Bradshaw, spokesperson for the City of New Brunswick.
These new outdoor gyms are part of the City of New Brunswick’s dedication to the renewal and rejuvenation of its parks system, bringing more public amenities and resources for our residents to utilize and enjoy.
“Visitors to Alice Jennings Archibald Park and Buccleuch Park will be able to enhance their day outdoors with new exercises and activities that people of all fitness levels can enjoy. National Fitness Campaign has been a great partner to help us bring these resources to our City and we invite all of our community members to try our new Fitness Courts for themselves,” Bradshaw said.
Members of the community are invited to attend a Launch Party for our Fitness Courts at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8th at Buccleuch Park. Guests can expect a fitness challenge, exercise demonstrations and free giveaways.
