Save The Date for New Brunswick Ciclovia on April 23!

Celebrate the arrival of spring with the first New Brunswick Ciclovia of 2017, scheduled for Sunday, April 23!

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. more than three miles of roads throughout New Brunswick will be closed to vehicular traffic and fully open for a day of family recreational activities and free space. Roads involved in the route include College Avenue, Hamilton Street, George Street, Paterson Street, Bayard Street and Joyce Kilmer Avenue.

During New Brunswick Ciclovia, streets become temporarily car-free for five hours on a more than three-mile route without a beginning or an end. Participants are free to travel the route in any way they choose, whether it be walking, running, biking, skateboarding or dancing.

A dozen family-friendly activity stations will be set up along the way, including group fitness activities such as yoga, Zumba and Crossfit, inflatables, music, art activities, water stations and bike repair. All activities and stations are free and open to the public.

Free parking will be available to New Brunswick Ciclovia participants in the New Brunswick Health and Wellness Plaza deck on Paterson Street. Please push the call button upon exiting the deck to speak to a New Brunswick Parking Authority representative!

New Brunswick Ciclovia is a community collaborative organized by the City of New Brunswick, New Brunswick Tomorrow, Johnson & Johnson and Rutgers University, with assistance from two dozen additional community organizations.
