The City of New Brunswick’s summer of park improvements continues with the opening of a new spray pad at Joyce Kilmer Park!
The spray pad is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is open for all residents of the City of New Brunswick to enjoy.
This new spray pad is the second water feature to be installed in our parks this summer and the third overall in New Brunswick: The Alice Jennings Archibald Park spray pad and the Recreation Park spray pad are also open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily for all to use.
Grab a towel and try them out for yourselves!
More fun outdoor activities are in the works for our parks system: Two new fitness courts are just about finished at Alice Jennings Archibald Park and Buccleuch Park, bringing state-of-the-art, interactive workout stations for adults and teens to use in their daily exercise.
At 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, a special launch party is scheduled to celebrate the opening of our new fitness courts. All are invited to Buccleuch Park to try out this new equipment, grab some free goodies and meet our partners with National Fitness Campaign.
More information on the launch party is available here.
All of these projects are components of the City of New Brunswick’s extensive commitment to the renovation and re-energizing of our parks system, guided by our Parks Action Plan that was created in cooperation with the Trust for Public Land.
