New Fitness Courts Coming to Buccleuch and Archibald Parks

Fitness courts similar to the one pictured here are to be installed in Alice Jennings Archibald Park and Buccleuch Park in the summer of 2018.

New fitness courts are in the works for Buccleuch Park and Alice Jennings Archibald Park!

The two exercise stations, one at each park, will be brand new, state-of-the-art and outfitted with specialized exercise equipment targeting different areas of the body in a circuit training layout.

If their activities look daunting, don’t worry: the manufacturer, National Fitness Campaign, also has an app with guided workouts for participants to utilize while exercising.

In addition to the installation of the fitness courts, new landscaping is also planned to help keep our parks lush, attractive and welcoming to all users.

These fitness courts are part of a City-wide dedication to the renewal of our parks system, with plans in the works for all parks in the City of New Brunswick. This includes a number of new additions and improvements, like these fitness courts, new and expanded programming, landscaping improvements and more.

It is anticipated that the fitness courts will be installed at the beginning of this summer. Keep an eye on the City website for an announcement of their completion and be sure to go try them out!
