UPDATE: Due to Saturday’s predicted inclement weather, the New Brunswick Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition will change the logistics of its event to be all indoors with a rally and a reception. A march will no longer be held.
The rally will now begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Bayard Street Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Joyce Kilmer Avenue and Bayard Street. A reception will follow at 112 Paterson Street, located three doors down from the church, featuring information tables, refreshments, t-shirts and activities for children.
All are invited to attend.
The month of October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the theme of the October 27 event is “The Many Faces of Domestic Violence.”
The New Brunswick Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition is a volunteer group dedicated to assisting families affected by domestic violence in New Brunswick.
