Vincent Sabo, a Captain and Executive Officer with the New Brunswick Police Department, was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief on January 8.
Deputy Chief Sabo is a law enforcement professional with nearly 27 years of experience in the field. This new structure in the department’s chain of command will add another level of supervision to our police operations as our officer ranks grow to new numbers and our departmental relationships with outside agencies continue to expand.
“Deputy Chief Sabo is a trusted senior member of our team of NBPD supervisors, and this new role will allow us to better streamline command and oversight of our police department, which is now staffed at its highest level ever,” said Mayor Jim Cahill. “Through this arrangement, we will be able to optimize our management capabilities and our service to the New Brunswick community.”
Police Director Anthony A. Caputo said, “Deputy Chief Sabo is the right person for the position. His vast knowledge and experience in law enforcement and community policing will continue to benefit the City, and I am confident his leadership will continue a long tradition of excellence in providing professional police service.”
