The City of New Brunswick’s annual Community Clean Sweep program will return on April 30 this year, and residents and property owners are asked to do some spring cleaning.
From April 30 to May 4, residents and property owners are asked to make an extra commitment to cleaning up garbage, graffiti, debris and overgrown plants on their respective properties.
Properties left in an unsatisfactory state may be subject to summonses.
Residents with large amounts of trash to be picked up by City sanitation workers are asked to call the New Brunswick DPW at (732) 745-5104 by 1 p.m. the day before to request a large pickup.
Additionally, residents with appliances, furniture or other bulk items to be disposed of must call the DPW to schedule a pickup time.
Community Clean Sweep comes on the heels of Urban Cleanup Week, which offers multiple opportunities for residents to get involved in the cleanliness of our City.
