Summer is in full swing and fresh, local produce is ripe and plentiful at the New Brunswick Community Farmers Market, open three days a week at two locations.
Now in it’s tenth season, the New Brunswick Community Farmers Market (NBCFM) offers fresh and local fruit, vegetables, herbs, plants, honey, baked goods and more.
The market utilizes two locations – one on Jones Avenue near Recreation Park and Rutgers University, also the site of the market’s community garden, and one in the New Brunswick downtown, ideal for popping in during a lunch break:
- 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturdays at the Market Pavilion, located at 178 Jones Avenue
- 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesdays at the Market Pavilion, located at 178 Jones Avenue
- 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesdays at Kilmer Square, located at 108 Albany Street
The market accepts cash, debit and SNAP, WIC or SFMNP benefits as payment.
The”Market Card” and “Market Bucks” programs also provide customers with the opportunity to receive vouchers for free fruits and vegetables!
