The public is invited to bring their cats and dogs to a free rabies clinic scheduled for 9-11 a.m. Saturday, January 19 in the parking lot of City Hall, 78 Bayard Street. Any resident with a pet whose rabies vaccination is not valid through November 2019 is invited to take advantage of this free clinic.
Dogs and cats must be at least four months of age to receive a rabies shot.
All pets in the City of New Brunswick must also have up-to-date licenses. 2018 licenses will be available for the purchase during the clinic from the City office of Vital Statistics.
Pet licenses must be renewed by January 31, 2019 Licensing fees are $15.20 for neutered/spayed pets and $18.20 for non-neutered/spayed pets. A $5 fee will be added to all renewals made after February 1. That fee will rise to $10 for renewals made after June 1.
