Annual Take Our Children/Grandchildren to Work Day a Success!

A slew of young people learned about the many jobs in municipal government during our annual observation of Take Our Children and Grandchildren to Work Day.

Fire Director Robert Rawls poses for a photo with kids during Take Our Children and Grandchildren to Work Day.

The kids spend the day touring municipal operations Citywide, saw their family members in action and met many new people.

They saw water treatment operations in action at the raw water pump station located at Westons Mill; visited with New Brunswick Odin, Moose and Blitz; played bingo with members of the New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center; met New Brunswick firefighters at Fire headquarters on Joyce Kilmer Avenue; visited Monument Square to hear about our Sister Cities program; and toured New Brunswick City Hall and its multiple departments.

Members of the New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center presented the kids with puzzles as souvenirs of their visit.
