Knight Cycle Bike Share Program Seeks Community Input

Have you been looking for a way to stay fit without squeezing the gym into your crazy schedule?

Maybe you’re just trying to do your part for the environment by reducing pollution and your commute time?

Sometimes, a multi-pronged problem may have a simple, spoke solution. This one only takes pedaling and partnering to fix…

Sharing – Bike sharing!

Rutgers University – in cooperation with the City of New Brunswick, a number of state and local agencies and some of our neighboring municipalities – is in the process of launching “Knight Cycle,” a program that will serve the area through a bicycle share program.

As the “Hub City” and the “Healthcare City,” this bicycle sharing program ties into both those nicknames by helping even more people get active and encourages more people to stop in for business or pleasure.

An uptick in biking hype influenced a cycle of trends, topics and transitions among the New Brunswick community from healthy living to safer transportation on foot, motor vehicle and bike.

Initiatives like our annual Ciclovias and the breadth of bicycle-friendly initiatives going on in the City make this new Rutgers University driven project literally as easy as riding a bike!

This is just the beginning of a long road – a road that anyone can bike on! Information sessions are coming up so if you would like to hear more or add your input, here are the upcoming dates, times and locations:
