UPDATE: Residents that have parked their cars in the Morris, Plum, New and Wellness Plaza decks to get them off the street during the snowfall may continue to park for free until 8 a.m. Friday, February 10.
In anticipation of Thursday’s anticipated snowfall, on-street parking will be temporarily suspended on designated City streets as of 6 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, February 8. The New Brunswick Parking Authority will open “Snow Designated Facilities” to City residents for parking.
These facilities include the Morris Street, Plum Street, New Street and Wellness Plaza decks. Residents may house their cars overnight for free in these designated facilities as of 6 p.m. tonight.
Proof of residency is required.
A list of streets that are designated as “Snow Routes” is available here: www.njnbpa.org/parking-info/snow-parking.
Cars must be removed from these streets by 6 p.m. tonight.
These measures are intended to ease the task of clearing streets by City plows, as fewer cars on the road will help to expedite the process.
Cars must be removed from the decks the following morning unless emergency conditions are in effect.
For more information regarding parking in Snow Designated Facilities, please call the New Brunswick Parking Authority Parking Services at (732) 667-8100.
