It’s Urban Cleanup Week in the City of New Brunswick! Each day this week features environmental-themed events, including community cleanups, special recycling events, giveaways and more!

We’re especially excited to announce that the DPW will be resuming its E-Waste Drop-Off! From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 residents may dispose of TVs, laptop and desktop computers at the DPW building on Jersey Avenue. No other electronics will be accepted during the drop off.

E-Waste drop off will continue to be open at the DPW building on the second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon starting in May.

Do you need to clean out your garage? Paint and paint-related items will also be accepted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20. While there, residents may pick up 20 free leaf bags. Free wood chips and mulch for the garden will also be available, while supplies last.

Round out your spring lawn care by picking up free flowers on Flower-Up Friday, scheduled for Friday, April 22 at Livingston Parking Nursery on How Lane. The first 200 New Brunswick residents to visit between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. may pick up two free four packs of annual flowers.
