New Brunswick got its first bike corral on August 29 at Mine Street and Easton Avenue! Bike corrals provide dedicated on-street parking for bikes that is open to all.
Other bike corrals will be installed over the next few weeks in the Easton Avenue, French Street, downtown and Suydam Street areas. Suydam Street is getting its own dedicated bike lane, too!
Bike corrals not only provide bike parking, but they help maintain good visibility for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists at intersections by acting as “daylighting” to improve safety.
