Dig Into Your Roots: Researching Your Family Tree with Online Databases at the New Brunswick Free Public Library

The New Brunswick Free Public Library will present a free workshop for people who would like to begin researching their family tree on Wednesday, August 14, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at 60 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick.

This Adult Summer Reading Program workshop will focus on utilizing both two genealogy databases: Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest, and the digitized New Brunswick historical newspapers, a long-term project funded in part by the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the New Jersey Historical Commission/Department of State.

Attendees are welcome to suggest their own questions as research examples.

The workshop is free and open to the public. To register, please contact the Reference Department by emailing nbfpl@lmxac.org or calling 732-745-5108 x20.
