Free Dock Slips Available for Recreational Boaters

New Brunswick, NJ, June 5, 2013 – This year, boaters on the Raritan River can once again take advantage of the free docks at New Brunswick Landing in Boyd Park.  The docks are a partnership between the City of New Brunswick and the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Situated at the north end of Boyd Park, New Brunswick Landing is a floating dock that provides docking facilities for area boaters.  The modular dock is capable of responding to the tidal changes in the river while offering 12 slips for boats up to 45 feet in length.  New Brunswick Landing is open seven days a week from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 12:00 Noon to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

“I am pleased that the City and County are once again able to provide free boat slips at New Brunswick Landing for recreational boaters along the Raritan River in New Brunswick,” said Mayor James Cahill.  Boaters can enjoy the pleasures of the Raritan River and stop at New Brunswick Landing, walk into the heart of the City and go shopping, enjoy a meal at one of our fine restaurants or take in a show at one of the theaters in our theater district,” the Mayor added.

New Brunswick Landing will be open through mid-September for the Annual Raritan River Festival in Boyd Park.  For more information on New Brunswick Landing contact the Middlesex County Parks and Recreation Department at 732-745-3900 or go to
