FEMA TO INSPECT STRUCTURES IN NEW BRUNSWICK

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be in New Brunswick to inspect structures that have sustained repetitive flooding and received claims payments on at least two occasions.

The FEMA teams will be surveying these properties to collect data that will help FEMA understand why these structures are vulnerable to flooding and damages and what mitigation measures may be feasible to protect them from future damages.

The FEMA teams will need about 15 minutes to observe features about the structure’s construction, assess the structure’s flood vulnerabilities and take photographs of the structure.

These teams will have proper FEMA identification badges confirming the person’s authorization to conduct the survey on behalf of FEMA.
