New Brunswick, April 3, 2013 – The City of New Brunswick is offering its residents free firewood. Due to Hurricane Sandy, the City was faced with hundreds of trees that had fallen during the storm. These trees were removed and cut into firewood.
City residents can get up to 40 pieces of pre-cut firewood at the Sports Complex located on Joyce Kilmer Avenue at Juliet Street on Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Residents must show proof of residency and this is a one-time only offer.
