NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given by the City of New Brunswick that sealed bids will be received on Friday, May 31, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time in the City Council Chambers in City Hall, 78 Bayard Street, New Brunswick, New Jersey at which time and place the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read for the following:
Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance and Emergency Repair Work
at the Water Treatment Plant and Pump Stations
Specifications, instructions to bidders, and bid proposal forms may be obtained at the Purchasing Office of the City, Room 307, City Hall, 78 Bayard Street, New Brunswick, New Jersey, during the regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., telephone number 732-745-5022, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the City Treasurer of the City of New Brunswick in the amount of ten percent of the bid, not to exceed twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars. Bids for contracts that require a performance bond must also contain a consent of surety.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. According to 40A:11-23, the City of New Brunswick is prohibited from receiving bids on Mondays or any day directly following a State or Federal Holiday. These requirements and others are fully detailed in the bid documents.
The City Council of the City of New Brunswick reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, waive informalities therein, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City.
